V-BOX News gives you all the automation you need for your news channel including control of VTRs, routers, external CGs and other devices for playout and ingest. Apart from manual playout, the system gives you the option of linking video clips and events to be played out in sequence, such as blocks of publicity.

V-BOX News’ unique functionality means the operator can use the TAKE button of the vision mixer to trigger clip playout, as well as cue live feeds from cameras. Alternatively, V-BOX News can trigger the vision mixer itself via GPI remoting or RS422/232, if full control of effects is required.

Where no mixer is available, clip playout can be triggered directly from the V-BOX News interface. In this case, fades and wipes are done internally using the internal mixer and the second output is used for monitoring the clip in prepare mode.
